Affiliate Disclosure
Plain-English explanation of how EVG Casinos makes money, what that means for the content you read here, and the firewall between commercial and editorial.
The short version
EVG Casinos is an affiliate publisher. When you click a link on our site to a casino operator and subsequently register an account, the operator may pay us a commission. This commission does not change a ranking, a rating, or a recommendation. We test every casino we recommend with our own money, and we exclude operators that fail testing regardless of commercial value.
The detailed version
1. Affiliate links are clearly marked
Every outbound link to an online casino on this site is an affiliate link, marked with rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" per FTC guidance and Google's link attribution standards. These links carry tracking parameters that attribute new registrations to EVG Casinos. We disclose the affiliate relationship on every page that contains such links, both inline (via this disclosure page and per-page footer text) and in machine-readable form.
2. How commissions work
Casino operators run affiliate programs that pay external publishers a share of net revenue from referred players. The economic model is typically one of:
- Revenue share: a percentage (typically 20%–45%) of the operator's net revenue from the referred player, paid monthly for the lifetime of the player account.
- CPA (cost per acquisition): a one-time flat fee (typically $50–$300) paid when a referred player completes a qualifying first deposit.
- Hybrid: a smaller upfront CPA plus a smaller ongoing revenue share.
Specific commission terms for individual operators are negotiated between the operator and the publisher and are not generally disclosed publicly for commercial reasons. The existence of every affiliate relationship is disclosed here and on the relevant review pages.
3. What commissions do NOT change
Commercial considerations do not affect:
- Rankings. Our top-10 ranking on the homepage is determined by the weighted scoring criteria documented on our Editorial Process page. Position in the ranking is not for sale.
- Ratings. The star ratings we publish for individual operators reflect testing results.
- Editorial coverage. If an operator has poor bonus terms, slow payouts, or weak responsible-gambling tools, we say so — even when the operator is a commercial partner.
- Inclusion / exclusion. Several operators we have tested have been excluded from our recommended list despite available affiliate programs. Conversely, we include operators in our coverage even when we cannot establish an affiliate relationship, when reader interest justifies the coverage.
4. The editorial firewall
The team members responsible for testing, scoring, and writing operator reviews are separate from the team members who handle affiliate relationships with operators. Operator relationship managers do not see review content before publication, do not participate in scoring decisions, and do not have approval rights over editorial output.
5. We do not publish paid content as editorial
EVG Casinos does not:
- Run "sponsored" Top-X lists where ranking position is sold
- Accept payment for inclusion in any list, ranking, or recommendation
- Publish operator-supplied content as editorial copy
- Run operator-purchased "award" badges
- Accept paid placements that are visually indistinguishable from editorial content
If we ever do partner with an operator on a paid placement (a sponsored guide, an industry-funded research piece, etc.), it will be clearly labeled "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" at the top of the page, visually distinct from editorial content, and not eligible for any ranking position on this site.
6. FTC compliance
This disclosure is published in compliance with US Federal Trade Commission guidance on endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which requires "clear and conspicuous" disclosure of material connections between endorsers and advertisers. Our disclosure appears:
- On this dedicated Affiliate Disclosure page
- In footer text on every page of the site
- In inline disclaimers on pages that contain affiliate links
- In link attributes (
rel="sponsored") for machine readability
7. Questions about specific commercial relationships
Readers who want to understand whether we have an affiliate relationship with a specific operator are welcome to ask via our Contact page. We will confirm or deny the relationship without disclosing commercial terms.
8. Reader corrections
If you encounter any content on this site that appears to violate the standards documented above, please contact us. Editorial integrity is the entire commercial proposition of this publication; we want to know when something doesn't match the standards we've committed to.
